Privacy
Short and factual: what this website and our apps collect, why, for how long, and how to ask for deletion.

Who is responsible
IntelyHome is operated by Ferenc Farkas. For questions about your data, use GitHub Discussions in the IntelyIDE repository (see the end of this page). We do not publish an e-mail address.
This website and analytics
The website is static and sets no cookies of its own. With your permission only, it uses Google Analytics 4 to count page views and clicks on download, menu and other buttons. Until you press Accept no Google script is loaded and nothing is sent.
Google acts as our processor, sets cookies (_ga) that recognise a browser, and may process data outside the EU. Advertising features and personalised ads are switched off. Your choice is stored in your browser, and you can change it at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer: Decline stops the measurement and deletes the _ga cookies.
IntelyOpti trial and waitlist
When you ask for the IntelyOpti download, join the waitlist or start the trial in the app, we store only what is listed here, with your consent:
- Your e-mail address and the time you gave consent.
- For the download form and the waitlist: the product, the kind of request (download or waitlist), your language and the page you used.
- For the trial: a hash of your Mac’s hardware identity (a SHA-256 value computed on your Mac, never the raw identifiers), the trial start date, the app version and your language.
- For abuse protection: a salted hash of your IP address, used to limit how often a request can be made in an hour. The raw IP address is not stored.
We use this to send your download and trial, to tell you once when checkout opens, to send product updates you agreed to, and to make sure a trial is used once per Mac. The legal basis is your consent, and our legitimate interest in preventing repeated trials. The data is kept on Cloudflare (Workers and D1), which acts as our processor. We do not sell it and we do not use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
E-mail addresses and request records are kept while the products are offered, or until you ask us to delete them. If you ask for deletion we erase your e-mail address. We keep the hashed device identifier of a trial without the e-mail, because that record is what prevents a second trial on the same Mac. The hourly rate-limit counters are not linked to you.
The apps
- IntelyIDE has no analytics. Once a day, after a one-time notice, it asks the public GitHub API whether a newer release exists and sends nothing but its version number. You can turn that off.
- IntelyOpti receives its updates from GitHub through cryptographically signed releases. Its AI Advisor sends nothing until you press Share, and then only a redacted snapshot to the AI tool you chose. That tool has its own privacy terms.
Your rights and deletion requests
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to withdraw your consent and to unsubscribe at any time. If you are in the EU you may also complain to your data protection authority.
To make a request, open a discussion titled “Data request” in the IntelyIDE repository on GitHub Discussions. Do not post your e-mail address or other personal details there, because discussions are public. Say that you would like a request handled, and we will answer in the thread with a private way to confirm it is you.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top changes too.
